The day started a little bit before 9.00 at Amsterdam Centraal in the platform 7A where knowmads gathered together with coffee and tea and some sunshine. At 9.08 they formed two teams (Team 1 – Kristin, Laura, Neza, and Tom; Team 2 – Anna, Benjamin, Charly, Marius and Marlies) and it kicked off with the famous Marshmallow Challenge (www.marshmallowchallenge.com) where each team with 20 sticks of spaghetti, 1 yard of string, 1 yard of tape, and 1 marshmallow needed to build the highest free standing structure with the marshmallow on top in 18 minutes. Team 1 won for just a few centimeters and for that accomplishment won more 10€ for starting capital.

Now it was time to start with the Lemon Challenge itself. Based on the idea that Knowmads is a Business School and it aims to develop an entrepreneurial behavior in the tribe members, we decided to shake things a little bit in that area. In wikipedia it is stated that a “entrepreneur is a term applied to a person who is willing to help launch a new venture or enterprise and accept full responsibility for the outcome”, so each team will get 25€ as an initial investment and will have until 16.30 to come up with one idea or more and putting in practice making as much profit as they can.
