I’m originally from Sweden but haven’t actually referred to Sweden as “home” in many years.  I’ve been living a little bit like a real nomad, traveling around a lot and staying at different places that felt right for me at the moment and letting it become my home for as long as the place had something to teach me. I used the world as my school and the people around me as my teachers.

I also studied Psychology at the university in New Zealand for some time and I learnt a lot from that and I really enjoyed it. But what never made sense to me at the University is that you’re getting all this knowledge but you have no idea how you can actually practice it in real life. How can I use what I’m learning in innovative and creative ways to connect it with my real passion? How can I use my talents to contribute to the world? And what are my talents, what makes me any different from all the other students? No one ever taught me that.

So, I wanted something different and Knowmads is different. Here I feel I’m getting the answer to those questions. Here it starts the other way around; we start by doing and then you learn along the way. Everything we do is real life and I finish almost every day at Knowmads with the feeling I learnt something very important that I will take with me and use, either just for myself in my everyday life or to reach my dreams for the future.
