Graduating members Tribe 1, New applicants: Welcome Home @ Knowmads

Graduating Members Tribe 1
In an intensive week with our Tribe 1 we listened to their “Rite of Passage” presentations. It was astonishing, learning-full, emotional and fun to listen to their presentations, and hear from them how they experienced the year. The students used very different means in their final presentations. It showed that although they all went trough the same program they all learned something else. We are very proud of our first official graduates of Knowmads and will keep on supporting them with the activities they will undertake. The students are moving from being a student here towards being an entrepreneur as part of the Knowmads platform. We will do a Tribal Trip with them next week to close down their year.

New Applicants
We are proud that since yesterday seven potentail students are taking part in our two day application workshop. In this workshop they experience how our school operates, what kind of education we offer and meet their future team members. And, they are challenged to show the best of themselves. They give us and each other insight in how they will contribute to the development of the school, of their fellow students and themselves.

A big part of the workshop is a real world assignment, which this year is for Wereldwinkels (Dutch Fair Trade organization, www.wereldwinkels.nl ). Within 24 hours the applicants have to invent, produce and present a trendy new Fair Trade product for the target group 18-25 year old Generation Y, and come up with a marketing strategy.

If all goes well they might have not even officially started their education, already their ideas might find their way towards a store near you (if you live in the Netherlands, that is).

Brochure
The students produced a nice brochure about who we are and what we do, and put it on our website. We also printed some. Feel free to ask for the printed ones which we will send to you to spread them in your surroundings.
