Afraid of the smart phone

I live in the information age. New diseases I might suffer from in the near future are:

  • Information-overload (Info expletus);
  • Search engine addiction (Quaero apparatus proclivitas);
  • Social network mania (Simol testamentum cupidine incensus)
  • Emailitus (Electricitatis litteras morbi)

I am afraid that if I would own a smart phone I would want to check or update my email, social networks, blogs, news websites, incoming text messages or calls, every 2 seconds. There would be no time for me to put my phone in my pocket. I see it happen all around. In the train, on the street, well actually were don’t I see it? Would I-phone 8 be integrated in the palm of my hand?

    Roy,
    You believe, in other words that you cannot control yourself in using a smartphone wisely. Mastery and self discipline maybe the thing to learn before being better updated what your friends and colleagues are doing.
